Introductions

This is my attempt to start a new blog.

 The name of my blog -- The Lydgate Chronicles -- is a tribute to the tragic protagonist of Middlemarch. I don't think I have much in common with Lydgate the character, but I find his general story arch painfully applicable to the adult world, especially as I begin to participate in it.
